I am very dedicated to helping children learn, and I am willing to work hard to help them succeed. I am passionate about education, and I enjoy helping students succeed in their studies to open new doors in their lives in the future. I believe that every student deserves a great education. I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Bucknell University where I also obtained a PA teaching certification. I then taught a dramatic arts class in Austin, Texas, until I moved to New Orleans and spent two years there teaching kindergarten and running an after-school program of my creation. I then decided to move to NYC to further my education, and there I attended Teachers College at Columbia University and worked toward my master's degree. While in NYC, I spent time working in Harlem as a service learning coordinator for PS 92, and taught students in grades kindergarten through 4th grade. After I obtained a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, I spent three years teaching 2nd grade in Newark at a charter school. I was then awarded a position working with an educational organization as a curriculum creator. As a curriculum designer, I prepared classroom lessons for teachers all over the country, and my lesson plans helped teachers lead students to success in reading and writing.
